  • Mi Fortuna No. 3

Always surround yourself with true friends.

    Mi Fortuna No. 3

Acrylic paint on panel, sharpie, paper from vintage encyclopedia, paper from my collection of fortunes (from fortune cookies). I sold it on my etsy shop, and I regret not taking better photos of it or scanning it for print. But I'm happy that it went to a good home who loved it.

To love and win is the best thing; to love and lose the next best.

    Mi Fortuna No. 1

The first acrylic painting I made for the Mi Fortuna series. I was having a difficult time getting inspiration for my paintings, until I saw the pile of fortunes (I love asian food) on top of my desk. And so the Mi Fortuna series began.

The road to knowledge begins with the turn of the page.

    Mi Fortuna No. 5

I love incorporating vintage paper to some of my paintings. Sometimes I just find it difficult to cut up old books. But don't worry, I make sure they aren't rare antiques before I rip any pages!

Doing what you like is freedom. Liking what you do is happiness.

    Mi Fortuna No. 6

This is one of my favorites and the first one I sold on etsy. All of the paintings for these series were done on panel with acrylic paint. I used shades of red and maroon for all of them and incorporated the fortune that inspired each, somehow within the painting.

Faith is knowing there is an ocean when you can only see the stream.

    Mi Fortuna No. 4

This painting is one of the few still available for sale on my etsy shop.

    A New Beginning

    An Experiment

This was my first attempt at gel medium to create a ton of texture. A friend saw it and bought it on the spot.
